  • Foundations: Screw pile or post foundations in concrete.

  • Double Glazing: Energy rated aluminium bi-fold door.

  • Wall Construction: Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are an advanced method of construction and a high-performance building system for residential, leisure and light commercial use. The panel consists of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, Oriented Strand Board (OSB). The individual wall thickness with our SIP garden room is 195mm thick which is ideal for year-round use. SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit almost any building design. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective.

SIPs offer the following:

  • Excellent thermal performance
  • Light-weight structural strength

  • Quick and efficient installation

  • Ecologically and energy friendly

  • Year round use garden building

  • Floor & Ceiling Construction: Floor has a rodent protector to underside, 100mm foil back insulation, damp proof membrane, 18mm WPB plywood. The ceiling has 150mm high thermal and acoustically effective construction. This ensures Wild Environments’ garden rooms have a long term superior level of sustainability and warmth.

  • Floor: Platinum Laminate flooring.

  • Roof: EPDM rubber membrane, 20 year guarantee with a life expectancy of 50 years.

  • External Finish: Open board cedar cladding creates a garden room with a distinctive look and a finish that has a real sense of depth to it, thanks to the shadow gaps between the boards. Open board cladding is no less protective than tongue & groove cladding, even with gaps between the boards. A specialist membrane is fitted behind the boards which stops moisture ingressing into the core insulated structure of the room.
